Book Review – Who Not How by Dan Sullivan w/Dr. Benjamin Hardy

I am a negotiator through and through, but I also love to read books for enjoyment and education.  I firmly believe knowledge is power.  I was visiting my daughter a few months back and a young man was reading this book Who Not How.  I was intrigued by the title and the young man was kind enough to let me read the inside cover and give his opinion.  As soon as I arrived home, I ordered the book.  I must say I would recommend the book, it had so many good nuggets, but I’d like to talk a little about this one that resonated with me.

Chapter 6 – If you have enough money to solve a problem, you don’t have a problem.  The funny thing is I am not rich by any stretch of the imagination.  I was raised to save money you need to do most things yourself.  I am handier than most, but to be honest I could have saved so much more time just finding a WHO to save time and frustrations.  So many times, I have busted my booty trying to figure out the how and will spend countless hours, days or even months teaching or learning the process.

I have had countless creative ideas and if I would have just focused on the Who that could perform the HOW these marvelous ideas could have come to fruition vs. just sitting in the corner of my mind…. waiting.   The book has confirmed it is a better use of my time to find a WHO.  Here is the catch for me, it is hard for me to ask for help, and I am not sure where to find the WHO, but I am encouraged.  I am determined to put myself out there and see what happens.

Now this takes me back to my side hustle, helping professionals negotiate their salaries.  I have been doing this “unofficially” for years and so many have said I should do as a business.  This book has helped me at least launch the website with the help of a WHO.  Now I need to work on the social media part – YouTube, Instagram and TikTok along with marketing.  I am excited for the possibilities looking for some Who’s…

This is not a paid advertisement for the book I just love to read and if you are someone out there like me that will try, try, try, and may succeed or may not succeed alone… we all need to find a WHO!

Let me know your thoughts if you’ve read the book!
